A company which wishes to become a .swiss registrar must initially obtain an accreditation from ICANN (Registrar Accreditation Agreement -
RAA). To do this, the company concerned must demonstrate that it meets all the technical, financial and operational criteria laid down by ICANN.
It can then contact the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM), which performs the function of the registry for the .swiss domain in the name of the Confederation, to conclude an agreement (Registry-Registrar Agreement - RRA).
